Job summary

The Highlands is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to supervise shift activities, coordinate resident care, and lead a team of RCAs, CNAs, and MTs during the Wellness Department shift. The role reports to the Wellness Director and emphasizes compassionate care within a supportive community.

Responsibilities include delegating tasks, monitoring health status, administering medications, and ensuring accurate MAR documentation while maintaining professional conduct and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Must hold a current RN license in the state where you work (Maine).
• Minimum of two years nursing experience.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Experience in an Assisted Living setting preferred.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
• Drug testing and criminal background check upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Plans and delegates work assignments to ensure shift coverage.
• Supervises delivery of personal care to residents.
• Administers medications according to physician orders.
• Documents and reports resident status and MAR data.
• Provides orientation and training support for new staff.
