Job summary

The Highlands in Maine is seeking a Registered Nurse to supervise shift care, coordinate medication administration, and lead a team of RCAs, CNAs, CMA, and MTs. The RN reports to the Wellness Director and ensures quality resident care and documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• Licensed nurse in the state of work.
• Minimum of two years nursing experience.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Experience in an Assisted Living setting preferred.
• Must be in good physical health and able to lift 40 pounds.
• Completion of drug testing and criminal background check on hire and on request.

Responsibilities

• Plans and delegates work assignments to ensure effective shift coverage.
• Supervises the delivery of personal care to residents.
• Documents medications and maintains MAR records.
• Acts as shift leader and coaches RCAs/MTs on care practices.
• Reports changes in resident health to physicians and staff.
• Ensures adherence to safety standards and policies.
