Job summary

The Orchards Facilities is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Nursing team. The RN will provide and oversee nursing care, assess resident needs, monitor changes in condition, and supervise nursing staff in a safe, abuse-free environment.

Responsibilities include administering medications, coordinating with physicians and families, and ensuring care complies with physician orders and state regulations. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license in West Virginia, Ohio or a compact license.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• IV certification preferred.
• Ability to complete required continuing education and annual state-mandated training.
• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, assisted living, or geriatric nursing preferred.
• Experience with residents with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other specialized needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents and recognize significant changes in condition.
• Oversee nursing staff, LPNs, and aides; supervise daily care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Complete and verify monthly physician orders and maintain documentation.
• Coordinate care with physicians, nursing staff, and families.
• Respond to emergencies and report changes in condition.
• Ensure compliance with Nurse Practice Act and facility policies.
