Universal Health Services in Ashland City, TN seeks a Registered Nurse for a seasonal 4-month assignment in a behavioral health setting. You will provide direct patient care within a structured program and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

The role involves 3 shifts (6:00-18:00, 18:00-06:00, 10:00-22:00) and requires completing assessments, administering medications, and participating in care planning for children and adolescents.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program and Tennessee RN license.
• At least one year of RN experience in Behavioral Health with children/adolescents or psychiatric inpatient settings.
• Must be 21 years of age and hold a valid driver's license in good standing.

Registered Nurse - Seasonal/Temporary position 4 months

3 - 12-hour shifts - 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, and 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM

Oak Plains Academy is a comprehensive and highly structured 98-bed residential treatment program offering psychiatric residential treatment services to children and adolescents, struggling with emotional and behavioral issues. Residents receive an individualized treatment plan, geared to meet their personal needs. A professional team of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, therapists, nurses, and teachers serve hundreds of children and adolescents annually with the common goal of treating and healing trauma and building resiliency in the residents we serve. Located on 20 acres of rolling hills in a rural setting, about 45 minutes from Nashville, Tennessee, Oak Plains Academy, Ashland City, campus features a full-size gymnasium, dining hall, separate academic building, and four dormitories. • Renders professional nursing care to patients within the treatment programs. Practices ongoing patient assessment, evaluation and update of patient care through observation of physical and behavioral symptoms and communicates pertinent data to other service areas as needed. Administers medications appropriately and documents all data accurately according to facility policy. Participates in formulation of individual care plans for all patients and implements plan according to facility policy.

• Completes debriefings as indicated.
• Serves as a role model to staff and students in dress and demeanor.
