Universal Health Services seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for night shifts at Oak Plains Academy in Ashland City, TN. The role offers a $10k sign-on bonus and shift differential rates, with 3–12 hour shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Oak Plains Academy provides psychiatric residential treatment for children and adolescents, supported by a multidisciplinary team. Located about 45 minutes from Nashville, the campus features ample facilities and opportunities for outdoor recreation.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program and Tennessee RN licensure.
• Preferred experience with children/adolescents in a psychiatric setting.

Responsabilités

Position Located in Ashland City, TN

Oak Plains Academy is a comprehensive and highly structured 98-bed residential treatment program offering psychiatric residential treatment services to children and adolescents, struggling with emotional and behavioral issues. Residents receive an individualized treatment plan, geared to meet their personal needs. A professional team of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, therapists, nurses, and teachers serve hundreds of children and adolescents annually with the common goal of treating and healing trauma and building resiliency in the residents we serve. Located on 20 acres of rolling hills in a rural setting, about 45 minutes from Nashville, Tennessee, Oak Plains Academy campus features a full-size gymnasium, dining hall, separate academic building, and four dormitories. Our wooded campus provides an excellent opportunity for outdoor recreational activities such as fishing, hiking, softball and basketball.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Renders professional nursing care to patients within the treatment programs. Practices ongoing patient assessment, evaluation and update of patient care through observation of physical and behavioral symptoms and communicates pertinent data to other service areas as needed. Administers medications appropriately and documents all data accurately according to facility policy. Participates in formulation of individual care plans for all patients and implements plan according to facility policy.
• Performs proper HWC techniques, demonstrating knowledge of patient and staff safety. Completes debriefings as indicated.
• Serves as a role model to staff and students in dress and demeanor.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program and licensed (or license eligible) in the State of Tennessee.
• Preferred experience with children/adoloescents
• Preferred experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting.
• 21 years of age
• Valid driver's license in good standing
• Must attend the two-week orientation classes, Monday through Friday.
