Job summary

The Menta Education Group is seeking a Registered Nurse to oversee student health and well-being at Menta Academy Millstadt and Belleville. You will support two campuses, alternating days, with hours 8:00am-3:30pm CT, Monday-Friday, following a school calendar.

Direct-hire with no annual contract and no nights or weekends. Responsibilities include first aid, med administration documentation, staff training, health education, and coordinating with parents and providers.

Qualifications

• Current/Active RN licensed to practice.
• Knowledge of medical and mental health disorders and treatments.
• Ability to coordinate health services with schools and providers.

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid and medically prescribed services in school.
• Obtain and review medication administration consents.
• Document each medication administration instance.
• Train staff on medication administration and documentation.
• Maintain security of health supplies at school sites.
• Instruct students in health education.
• Correspond with parents and medical providers on health needs.
• Record immunizations and health data; maintain weekly logs.
• Coordinate with administrative staff and teachers as needed.

As a Registered Nurse with The Menta Education Group, you will oversee the health and well-being of students, act as a resource for health education and maintain student records and data for compliance purposes.

RN will support two locations: Menta Academy Millstadt and Menta Academy Belleville, alternating days during the week.

No Nights, No Weekends

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid care and medically prescribed services.
• Obtain and review consents for medication administration in school.
• Document each instance for medication administration.
• Train designated staff on medication administration and documentation of medication administration
• Maintain security of school health supplies.
• Instruct students in health education.
• Correspond with parents and medical providers on the health needs of students.
• Record immunizations, health findings, and other relevant health data.
• Maintain accurate related service logs updated weekly.
• Coordinate and communicate with administrative staff, teachers, and other related service staff as needed or IEP directed.
• Develop Individual Health Care plans for students with allergies.

Qualifications

• Current/Active Registered Nurse
• Considerable knowledge of medical and mental health disorders and subsequent treatment.
• Considerable knowledge of child growth and development.
• Working knowledge of public health problems and procedures for treatment in coordination with other health and social service agencies.
• Working knowledge of Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations affecting the delivery of school health services.
• Some knowledge of the school organization and the community served.
• Capacity to coordinate and facilitate services between the school, local health agency, and other community resources.
