Mille Lacs Health System is seeking a Perioperative/ PACU RN to provide direct and indirect patient care in the SDS area, collaborating with unit management. The RN uses the nursing process to assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care for patients and families, acting as a resource and educator within professional standards.
The role requires current MN RN license, BLS, ACLS and PALS within designated timelines, and a willingness to participate in ongoing professional development.
Under the direction of, and in collaboration with unit management, performs responsibilities exercising initiative, judgment and independent decision-making within the scope of the State Nurse Practice Act, hospital policy and other governing organizations. Utilizes the nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation) in a systematic approach to the direct and indirect care of patients and their families. The SDS/PACU RN provides care in the Peri-surgical setting directed toward meeting both the psychosocial and physical needs of the patient. The RN is a resource person and teacher. Care given reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations.
