Mille Lacs Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide peri-surgical care in the SDS area, utilizing the nursing process from assessment to evaluation. The RN acts as a resource and educator, applying professional standards and collaborating with management.
The position requires MN RN licensure, BLS at hire, and ACLS/PALS within 3 months. Strong communication, teamwork, and adherence to safety policies are essential. 8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday, on-site in Minnesota.
Under the direction of, and in collaboration with unit management, performs responsibilities exercising initiative, judgment and independent decision-making within the scope of the State Nurse Practice Act, hospital policy and other governing organizations. Utilizes the nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation) in a systematic approach to the direct and indirect care of patients and their families. The SDS/PACU RN provides care in the Peri-surgical setting directed toward meeting both the psychosocial and physical needs of the patient. The RN is a resource person and teacher. Care given reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations.
