Mille Lacs Health System in Onamia, MN is seeking a Perioperative SDS/PACU RN to provide care in the peri-surgical setting under the supervision of unit management. The RN applies the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care for patients and families, and serves as a resource and educator within the team.
The role requires a Graduate of an accredited nursing program, a current Minnesota RN license, and BLS with ACLS/PALS within required timeframes.
Under the direction of, and in collaboration with unit management, performs responsibilities exercising initiative, judgment and independent decision‑making within the scope of the State Nurse Practice Act, hospital policy and other governing organizations. Utilizes the nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation) in a systematic approach to the direct and indirect care of patients and their families. The SDS/PACU RN provides care in the Peri‑surgical setting directed toward meeting both the psychosocial and physical needs of the patient. The RN is a resource person and teacher. Care given reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations.
