Job summary

The Jesse Brown VA Risk Manager Registered Nurse (RN) oversees all daily management, directives, and standards for the risk management program at Jesse Brown VA. The role requires adherence to applicable VA rules and strong collaboration across legal, clinical, and administrative teams to reduce risk and protect patients.

Preferred candidates hold an MSN or BSN with demonstrated risk management experience, excellent communication, and a track record in reviewing medical malpractice matters.

Qualifications

• Must meet English proficiency requirement per 38 U.S.C. 7403(f).
• Graduate of an approved nursing program (ACEN/CCNE) with active, unrestricted licensure.
• Experience in risk management and patient safety preferred.
• Ability to interact with attorneys, patients and healthcare providers with professional communication.
