Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, NM is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our risk management team. You will design and oversee our risk programs, support patient safety, and help ensure regulatory compliance while coordinating with care teams and external partners.

This role emphasizes examining events, implementing corrective actions, educating staff, and leveraging our technology to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license.
• Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Claims Management and/or Risk Management certification preferred.
• 3–5 years of claims/risk management experience in an acute care facility.
• Three (3) years of experience as an RN or a combination of (3) years nursing/claims/ risk management experience.

Responsibilities

• Designs, coordinates, and oversees the risk management program to promote patient safety and regulatory compliance.
• Investigates and manages potentially compensable events, claims, and litigation; develops policies and corrective actions.
• Identifies risk reduction opportunities and educates staff on risk management practices.
• Collaborates with administration, medical staff, insurers, and regulators to ensure compliance and effective communication.
• Maintains systems for tracking and analyzing risk-related data and participates in committees to improve outcomes.
