St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Connecticut is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in alignment with hospital policies and nursing protocols.

You will coordinate care, monitor patient conditions, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes. Excellent assessment and critical thinking skills are essential, along with an RN license and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Associate degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current Connecticut RN license.
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association.
• Excellent assessment and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care per established policies and protocols.
• Implements and monitors patient care plans; records and communicates patient condition.
• Coordinates care with multidisciplinary team for well-coordinated patient care.
• Assesses discharge planning needs with healthcare team.
• Delivers individualized patient care considering physical, psychosocial, cultural and age-related needs.
• Delegates care to nursing staff to maximize performance and meet patient needs.
• Participates in daily interdisciplinary patient rounds and professional development.
• Adheres to ANA standards and ethics in nursing practice.
• Develops and revises individualized plans of care.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
