Job summary

Sovah Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Medical/Surgical unit in Danville, VA, to work nights. The role features a 3‑12 hour shift pattern from 7 PM to 7 AM with a $20,000 sign-on bonus eligibility. The unit operates with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio and a diverse patient mix.

Qualifications

Active Virginia RN license (single-state) or compact license.
Associate degree in nursing required.
Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
Documents patient care and monitors patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family.
Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
Coordinates patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
