Job summary

HCA Florida Trinity Hospital offers a year-long RN Residency Program designed to transition student nurses into registered nurses with hands-on learning, simulations, and mentoring from experienced leaders.

Participants complete advanced clinical training, monthly education sessions, and preceptorship experiences while delivering high-quality patient-centered care in collaboration with the care team.

Qualifications

• BLS obtained within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS obtained within 1 year of employment.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
• Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State.
• No previous experience needed.
• Some travel may be needed for training.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying changes.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered; document care in the chart.
• Administer prescribed medications; monitor therapeutic response and report issues.
• Provide exceptional care by promptly addressing patient requests and anticipatory service.
• Educate patients, families and caregivers about condition, treatment plan, medications and follow-up.
