Job summary

TriStar Horizon Medical Center offers a one-year HCA Healthcare Residency Program designed to ease the transition from student nurse to registered nurse, with hands-on experience in multiple specialties and mentoring from experienced nurse leaders.

The RN Resident coordinates patient care across shifts, participates in evidence-based projects, and completes a structured series of learning experiences including simulations and preceptorship training.

Qualifications

• BLS obtained within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS obtained within 1 year of employment.
• Other certifications may be required during employment.
• RN license or Graduate Nurse status in the state.
• No previous experience required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with the care team.
• Perform procedures and monitor patients as ordered, documenting care promptly.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor therapeutic responses.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients, families and caregivers about condition, plan and medications.
