HCA Florida Healthcare is offering a Nurse Residency Program to bridge students to registered nurses. Residents will receive mentorship from experienced educators and clinicians across our hospital network, focusing on hands-on learning, evidence-based practice, and professional growth.

The program emphasizes advanced clinical training, ongoing educational sessions, and preceptorships to support a smooth transition from student nurse to practicing RN in a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS within 1 year of employment.
• Other Certifications may be required during employment.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
• Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State.
• No previous experience needed.
• Some travel may be needed for training.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting changes.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider; document care promptly.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor therapeutic responses.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and proactively address needs.
• Educate patients, families and caregivers about conditions, plans, medications and follow-up.
