Job summary

TriStar Centennial Medical Center offers a year‑long HCA Healthcare Residency Program to bridge student nurses to registered nurses. The RN Resident will receive hands‑on experience, mentorship from nurse educators, and exposure to evidence‑based practice projects within a collaborative care environment.

The program emphasizes advanced clinical training, monthly education sessions, and preceptorship with a facility preceptor to ensure a smooth transition into professional nursing practice.

Qualifications

• BLS certification obtained within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS certification obtained within 1 year of employment.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
• Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State.
• No previous experience needed.
• Some travel may be needed for training.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, noting changes.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other orders; document care in the medical record.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor therapeutic responses.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and address needs proactively.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, and follow-up steps.
