Job summary

WakeMed's Nurse Residency Program is a year-long bridge from school to practice for new graduate nurses. You will be paired with a trained preceptor and supported by two Nurse Residency Coordinators, moving through a cohort experiencing exactly what you are facing, with guided mentorship and hands-on learning to build confidence and competence.

During the year you undertake specialty clinical training (Cardiac Rhythm Interpretation, Basic Arrest Management, ED and Neuro Core, OB Core, NIH Stroke

Qualifications

• Graduates of an accredited ADN or BSN program.
• Newly licensed RNs or nurses with 6 months or less of post-licensure experience.
• Candidates eligible for RN licensure in North Carolina.
• Individuals who are passionate about patient care and committed to continuous learning.
• Team players who value collaboration, communication, and compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
