Job summary

WakeMed Health & Hospitals offers a Nurse Residency Program to bridge school-to-practice for new graduates. You’ll be paired with a preceptor and residency coordinators while progressing through a guided year of clinical experiences.

Graduates of ADN or BSN programs, newly licensed RNs or with ≤6 months post-licensure are encouraged to apply. Eligibility for NC RN licensure is required, with strong teamwork and patient‑centered care emphasized.

Qualifications

• Graduates of an accredited ADN or BSN program.
• Newly licensed RNs or with 6 months or less post-licensure experience.
• Candidates eligible for RN licensure in North Carolina.
• Passionate about patient care and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Develop clinical judgment and professional nursing competencies through guided mentorship.
• Grow into a specialty – acute care, critical care, emergency services, women’s services, perioperative services.
