Job summary

The RN Resident at Wellstar participates in a 12-month Nurse Residency Program designed to support new graduate RNs with less than 6 months of professional experience. You will rotate through orientation phases and work under supervision of experienced leaders, educators, preceptors, and unit managers to develop nursing practice, critical thinking, and patient care skills.

You'll join an interprofessional team focused on high-quality, safe patient care and evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited nursing program and graduation from an approved nursing school.
• Less than 1 year of RN experience is required.
• English language proficiency and basic computer skills, with Epic/3M familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs the Nursing Process with evidence-based practice and critical thinking to deliver individualized patient care.
• Provides patient and family-centered care aligned with population needs and cultural considerations.
• Practices according to current clinical standards and promotes safe, high-quality care.
• Demonstrates teamwork and collaboration with an interprofessional team for effective care delivery.
• Participates in performance improvement and evidence-based practice, and supports professional development.
