Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is launching its RN Residency Program in November 2026. This 12-month transition-to-practice program supports new graduate nurses with education, mentorship and blended learning experiences to prepare them for clinical excellence.

The program offers opportunities within Acute Care specialties, including Post-Surgical/GI, Neurology, Orthopedics, Renal, Oncology and General Medical, with dedicated preceptors guiding development and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program (minimum).
• New Graduates eligible for the RN Residency.
• Current Georgia RN license (per legal requirement).
• BLS CPR certification is required.
• BSN preferred for advanced opportunities.

Responsibilities

• The Staff Nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Coordinate patient care activities with all assigned staff to ensure quality care.
• Maintain standards of practice and accountability while engaging in professional growth.
