Job summary

Mercy Hospital is seeking a dedicated RN to join the Nights, Full Time, 36 hours per week Labor & Birth unit at Mercy Hospital - W Memorial Rd. This high-energy obstetrics unit provides Well Newborn Care and Post Women’s Surgical support, with lactation consultants on staff.

The ideal candidate has a nursing degree from an accredited program, current RN licensure, BLS certification, and the ability to lift 50 pounds; cross-training across Labor & Birth, Antepartum, and OB ED is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
• Current RN license in hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds and prolonged standing/walking.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients in Labor & Birth, Antepartum, and OB Emergency Department (float between departments as needed).
• Maintain competencies across Labor & Birth, Antepartum, and OB ED.
• Contribute to high-energy obstetrics unit with lactation consultants on staff.
