Job summary

Mercy Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Labor & Birth unit on night shifts (36 hours per week). The role supports Well Newborn Care and post-woman’s surgical care within a high-energy obstetrics environment at Mercy OKC.

The unit features 40 MB rooms, 15 LDR rooms, high-risk antepartum, OBED, and birthing suites, with lactation consultants on staff to serve inpatients and outpatients.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
• Current RN license in hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Position requires lifting 50 pounds and prolonged standing/walking.
• Basic Life Support certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain competencies in Labor & Birth, Antepartum and OB Emergency Department.
• May float between departments based on patient care needs.
• Provide patient-centered obstetric care in a high-energy, fast-paced unit.
