Job summary

CommonSpirit Health Nurse Residency is designed for newly licensed RNs in Redding, CA. It includes a 12-month program with 18–24 weeks of clinical immersion under a dedicated preceptor, followed by a mentorship phase to complete transition-to-practice.

Upon completion, graduates advance to a full-time, 36-hour/3-day benefited position in their unit, with rotations through departments such as ICU, Orthopedics, Medical Acute, and more.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, within the last 12 months.
• Active California RN license and BLS-HCP before start date.
• ACLS-HCP required if Telemetry, CCU, or Perioperative area.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a 12-month Nurse Residency Transition-to-Practice program.
• Complete 18–24 week clinical immersion with a trained preceptor.
• Engage in mentorship to complete the transition-to-practice experience.
• Rotate through departments such as Respiratory Therapy, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, and more.
