Job summary

Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH is launching an HCA Healthcare Residency Program for new nurses. This year-long paid residency helps bridge from student nurse to registered nurse with hands-on experiences, simulations, and mentoring from experienced leaders.

The RN Resident will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, work with the care team, and participate in learning experiences across departments; flexible start dates and shift options are discussed at interview.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS within 1 year of employment.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
• Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State.
• No previous experience needed.
• Some travel may be needed for training.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s).
• Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitor response.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate patient needs.
• Teach patients, families and caregivers about medical conditions, plans and follow-ups.
