ChristianaCare invites Senior Nursing Students, Nurse Graduates and new RNs to apply for the Nurse Residency Program: Float Pool Track starting October 26, 2026, with interviews by September 30, 2026 for an October start. This 12-month program features preceptor-led clinical experiences across medical, surgical, step-down, and transitional units at Christiana and Wilmington Hospitals.

Program includes ACLS and dysrhythmia training; employment agreement required after training.

Qualifications

• Graduating from accredited nursing school (BSN Preferred).
• BLS required.
• Less than 12 months of nursing experience by the start of the program.
• Eligible for Delaware license as a Graduate Nurse/Registered Nurse and obtain prior to start date.
• Must be willing and able to work all shifts (day, evening, overnight), including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a 12-month Nurse Residency Program with preceptor-led clinical experiences.
• Float between Wilmington and Christiana Hospitals on medical, surgical, step-down and transitional care units.
• Complete orientation and training with ACLS, dysrhythmia training and step-down competencies.
• Pass State Boards and obtain RN license prior to starting position.
• Sign commitment to work at ChristianaCare for two years with a 15-month minimum on the unit of hire.
