Dayton Children's Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care at their main campus in Dayton, Ohio. This role involves working with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal health for patients and families while delivering impactful nursing care.
The RN will be engaged in critical care services, including working in the newborn intensive care unit (NICU) and pediatric intensive care unit (PICU). Minimum qualifications include a nursing associates degree and a commitment to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing within five years.
The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care utilizing the standards of care and professional performance outlined by the American Nurses Association and the Ohio Board of Nursing. The RN interacts with an interdisciplinary team to promote optimal health potential for patients and families, delivering competent nursing care based on documented assessment of patient/family needs and the hospital mission. The RN promotes a patient and family experience‑oriented environment and acts as a change agent to meet the rapidly changing census and needs of all customers—both internal and external.
This track includes the newborn intensive care unit (NICU), a level III tertiary care center for sick neonates and neonatal surgery, as well as critical care services in the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) and the transitional care unit (TCU). The TCU provides care for children with chronic care needs who are technology dependent and require close observation.
