Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is launching its RN Residency Program for new graduate nurses. This 12-month transition-to-practice program blends education, mentorship and hands-on practice to help you become a confident, competent professional.

As an RN resident in Acute Care, you will gain clinical judgment, communication skills and cohort-based socialization, with didactic content tailored to new graduates from professional nursing organizations. Start November 2026.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program required.
• New Graduates eligible for RN residency.
• Current GA RN license and BLS CPR certification required.
• BSN preferred; advanced certification encouraged.

Responsibilities

• RN residents will develop clinical judgment to recognize changes in a patient’s condition and urgency of situations.
• RN residents will cultivate excellent communication skills with colleagues and patients.
• RN residents will enjoy cohort experiences designed to promote peer and professional socialization.
• RN residents will learn didactic content tailored to new graduates from professional nursing organizations.
