Job summary

Valley View Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Rehabilitation Unit to provide compassionate care during night shifts (3x12, 6:30pm-7am) with rotating weekends. A commitment retention bonus is available for well-qualified applicants, reflecting our emphasis on workforce stability.

You'll work in a smaller hospital setting emphasizing collaboration and professional development, with self-scheduling and cross-disciplinary teamwork to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing is required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum six months of Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• BCLS and ACLS/BCLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs all aspects of patient care prioritizing safety and reducing errors.
• Formulates and updates an individualized care plan daily based on patient response.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient status to the care team and family.
• Collaborates across disciplines for patient transfer, discharge, and referrals.
• Assesses learning needs and provides age-appropriate patient education.
• Advocates for the patient’s physical and emotional well-being and rights.
