AdventHealth in Winter Park, FL is seeking a registered nurse to join our day shift on a full-time basis. The role includes comprehensive patient assessments, care planning, medication administration, patient education, and collaboration with medical teams to ensure high-quality care.

Eligible clinicians can pursue the Clinical Ladder program for salary increases based on experience and advancement, while maintaining a commitment to safety, documentation, and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Florida
• Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's preferred
• Experience in an acute care setting preferred

Responsabilités

• Conduct comprehensive assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and revise them as needed
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocols
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and self-care
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication
• Maintain accurate timely documentation in the medical record

Job Description:

Clinical Ladder participation is voluntary. Salary adjustments are determined by program eligibility, advancement level, and organizational guidelines.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
• Ability to work as a Team player within a unit
• Effective verbal and oral communication and problem-solving skills
• EKG competency
• Must be fluent in English (read, verbal and written skills)
• Basic computer skills - must be able to navigate Microsoft windows based programs
• Must be able to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patient, evaluate interventions, and revise plan of care according to patient outcomes

Education:

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Work Experience:

1+ acute care hospital setting [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
