AdventHealth in Winter Park, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time Day shift. The role involves comprehensive patient assessments, care planning, medication administration, and family education to promote patient outcomes.

The position supports collaborative teamwork across departments and requires accurate documentation in the medical record. Eligible clinicians may advance through the Clinical Ladder; salary may adjust based on experience and advancement criteria.

Qualifications

• RN license required (Florida)
• Associates degree in Nursing required
• BSN preferred
• 1+ year acute care experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.

Job Description:

Clinical Ladder participation is voluntary. Salary adjustments are determined by program eligibility, advancement level, and organizational guidelines.

Schedule: Full time- DAYS

Shift: 3 X 12 hrs. shift

Location: Winter Park

Primary Job Responsibilities:

Work Experience:

• 1+ acute care hospital setting [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
