RWJBarnabas Health is hiring a Registered Nurse in the Ambulatory Surgery Center PACU to provide preoperative and postoperative care within the ambulatory perioperative continuum. This role supports Phase I/II recovery, with emphasis on safe handoffs and patient education.

Ideal candidates hold an active NJ RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and have at least 1 year PACU or acute care experience. The position offers a 40-hour work week and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifikationen

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS & PALS certifications.
• At least one year of PACU, Critical Care or Acute Care experience; EMR experience (EPIC) strongly preferred.

As a Registered Nurse (RN), a typical day may include:

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes, using your judgment to intervene early and advocate for your patients
• Providing safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands on care grounded in strong clinical judgment
• Serving as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers, offering insight that supports timely, well-coordinated care decisions
• Providing clear, compassionate education to patients and families so they feel informed, supported, and prepared for the next phase of care
• Ensuring accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record to promote continuity and patient safety
• Contributing your voice during interdisciplinary rounds, helping drive seamless communication and smooth transitions of care

To be considered for this RN opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing and a current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS & PALS certification. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is strongly preferred. At least one year current PACU, Critical Care or Acute Care experience is required as is comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC.
