Job summary

BayCare Health System in Dunedin, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PACU. The role focuses on independent patient care using proven nursing processes, delegation to team members, and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities include direct patient interaction, precepting, and stepping in as charge nurse when needed. The position is full-time with varying shift hours and occasional on-call duties, at Mease Dunedin Hospital.

Qualifications

• RN licensure and BLS/ACLS certifications required; PACU experience preferred.
• Associates degree or nursing diploma required with BSN preferred.
• Nurse licensure in good standing and ongoing education.

Position Description: RN - Registered Nurse - PACU

BayCare Health System is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join our outstanding and compassionate PACU team at Mease Dunedin Hospital.

The RN responsibilities include:

• Independently caring for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegating appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
• Professional accountability and development.
• Direct contact with the child and has primary responsibility for providing personal care assistance and supervision to a child.
• Performing the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required
• RN (Registered Nurse) license is required
• ACLS Certification is required
• Nurse Specialty certification is preferred

Education:

• Associates degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma is required

Experience:

• 2 years of RN experience is required.
• 1 year of RN experience in PACU or critical care is preferred
