Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time role at Mercy - Oklahoma City South. You will provide direct patient care using the nursing process, coordinate with other departments, and ensure patient rights and confidentiality are maintained throughout the shift.

The ideal candidate has an RN license in Oklahoma or a compact state, 1 year of nursing experience preferred, and BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• 1 year of nursing experience preferred.
• Must maintain current RN license in hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support certification or complete course within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains accountability for care provided to assigned patients.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments and preserves patient rights and confidentiality.

Position Details

Location: Mercy - Oklahoma City South (I-240 Service Rd)

Shift: Full Time (40 hours/week)

Schedule: 4 10s (7:30a-6p)

Overview

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).

• Experience: 1 year of nursing experience preferred.

• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

• Certifications:Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis

• Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift

• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
