Job summary

Mercy in Oklahoma City South is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care using the nursing process and to coordinate care with other departments. The role emphasizes accountability, patient rights, and confidentiality within Mercy Service Standards.

The position is full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 10s schedule (7:30am–6:00pm). Mercy offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities to contribute to compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a school of nursing (ADN, Diploma, or BSN).
• 1 year of nursing experience preferred.
• Current RN license in hiring state and/or compact licensure where duties are performed.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Overview

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).

• Experience: 1 year of nursing experience preferred.

• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

• Certifications:Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis

• Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift

• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
