Job summary

Mercy is seeking a registered nurse to provide patient care in an oncology infusion/outpatient setting. The RN will apply the nursing process, coordinate care with colleagues, and uphold patient rights and confidentiality in a fast-paced Mercy facility.

Required: nursing graduate (ADN/ diploma/ BSN) and an active RN license in the hiring state or a compact license, with Basic Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of hire. 4 10s shift, full-time, 7:30a–6p.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Experience: 1 year of nursing experience preferred.
• Licensure: current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification either held or obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for care provided to assigned patients.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments and respects patient rights and confidentiality.

Shift: Full Time (40 hours/week)

Schedule: 4 10s (7:30a-6p)

Overview

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).

• Experience: 1 year of nursing experience preferred.

• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

• Certifications:Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis

• Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift

• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
