Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a registered nurse for the Radiation Oncology Infusion Room at Bruno Cancer Cetner. You will provide direct nursing care, implement care plans, and coordinate multidisciplinary rounds to ensure seamless patient care.

Applicants must graduate from an accredited nursing program and hold a valid Alabama RN license with BLS certification within 30 days of hire. This on-site role fits a Monday–Friday schedule with generous benefits for eligible positions.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
• Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing prior to hire date.

Job Description

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program required. Professional licensure at time of hire required.
