Job summary

AdventHealth in Winter Park, FL is seeking an experienced NICU nurse to assess patients, design individualized care plans, and administer treatments within a collaborative team. The role emphasizes safety, education for families, and consistent documentation to support patient outcomes.

Qualified candidates hold an Associate’s in Nursing with RN license and BLS/NRP certifications, with at least 1 year in NICU settings. This is a full-time on-site position at the Winter Park campus.

• 1+ years' NICU nursing experience.
• RN license and BLS/NRP certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Assess physiological, psychological, developmental, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Create and update individualized care plans.

• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and self-care.
• Coordinate care with medical staff to ensure effective teamwork.

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.

Pay Range

$31.85 - $52.76
