Texas Health Resources in Frisco, TX is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Medical/Telemetry (Cardiac) Unit. This full-time day shift offers telemetry monitoring, patient care using the nursing process, and collaboration with a supportive team in a newer 16-bed unit.

If you hold a Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree with RN licensure and have telemetry or cardiac experience, plus BCLS/ACLS and CPI training, you will thrive here with self-scheduling and opportunities to help grow a

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Texas or applicable state
• 1 year of RN or RN residency
• Telemetry/Cardiac experience preferred
• BCLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• CPI training maintained annually

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients using the Nursing Process
• Assesses the patient
• Plans the care of the patient
• Intervenes as appropriate
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Maintains age-specific safety and infection control measures
• Initiates information sharing with patient and family
• Ensures continuity of care across shifts and transfers

• Work location: Texas Health Frisco, 12400 N Dallas Parkway Frisco, TX 75033
• Work hours: Full time, Days (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM); rotating weekends/holidays required

Department Highlights

• 16 bed unit
• newer unit looking to grow a strong team
• Patient population: Medical patients (GI, GU, diabetes, pneumonia, cellulitis, CHF, COPD, wounds) who need cardiac monitoring, plus some surgical patients
• Cardiac care: Telemetry monitoring and management of cardiac drips
• Ratios: 3:1 to 4:1
• Self-scheduling for flexibility and work-life balance
• Team-focused culture with a chance to help build a new unit

Here’s What You Need

• Nursing Diploma Nursing Req Or
• Associate's Degree Nursing Req Or
• Bachelor's Degree Nursing Pref
• 1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program Req
• 1 Year Telemetry/Cardiac experience in hospital setting preferred
• RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Req And
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req And
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days Req And
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Req

What You Will Do

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• Assesses the patient
• Plans the care of the patient
• Intervenes as appropriate
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
