UW Medical Center-Northwest - Medical-Surgical Unit at the Center for Behavioral Health and Learning has an outstanding opportunity for a Night Shift Registered Nurse.

WORK SCHEDULE

36 hours per week

3x12 shift schedule

Straight nights (7:00pm-7:30am)

Rotating weekend shifts required

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

The Medical-Surgical Unit at the Center for Behavioral Health and Learning supports a wide range of individuals, including low acuity patients and patients with multiple comorbidities

We are a unique unit, providing dedicated medical-surgical and telemetry care to the behavioral health population

We have 50 beds and consistently hold 1:4 and 1:5 nurse to patient ratios

Our patients receive holistic treatment, addressing their physical, medical, and mental health needs

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide medical-surgical care to behavioral health patients, including those with psychiatric comorbidities

Ensure patient safety protocols are followed, including restraint protocols

Administer oral and injectable medications

Monitor vital signs using telemetry equipment

Assess and manage pain

Provide education and discharge instructions to patients and their families

Provide personalized care with compassion, dignity, and respect

REQUIREMENTS

Active BLS

Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State
