Job summary

UAB Medicine's Med Surg department in Pell City is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse for PRN and part-time shifts. Provide direct nursing care, implement care plans, coordinate disciplines, and follow physician orders on a fast-paced unit at UAB St. Vincent's St. Clair.

Licensed RN in Alabama with BLS on hire and 1 year of nursing experience; diploma in nursing; must be eligible for Alabama RN licensure. Benefits include generous PTO, parental leave, tuition reimbursement, and more.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing AND professional licensure at time of hire required. One Year of Nursing Experience Required

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
