Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health's Community Medical Center seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Intensive Care Unit on the night shift. This role emphasizes safe, compassionate care and teamwork across disciplines.

You will assess patients, administer approved medications, document in EPIC, and contribute to interdisciplinary rounds while pursuing ongoing professional growth.

Active NJ RN license and current BLS are required; a BSN is strongly preferred or expected within five years.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred, or required within 5 years.
• Experience with EMR systems such as EPIC.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and intervene early as needed.
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care.
• Collaborate with physicians and providers to coordinate timely care.
• Educate patients and families so they feel informed and supported.
• Document accurately in the EMR to ensure continuity and safety.

To be considered for this RN opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing and a current American Heart Association BLS certification. A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is strongly preferred, or required within 5 years, as is prior patient care experience and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC.
