CompassionCare Hospice in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a passionate RN to join our on-call team providing end-of-life care in patients' homes. This role supports families after hours with compassionate, clinically solid care and clear communication with the hospice team.

You will have a flexible Mon-Fri schedule, 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM, opportunities for growth, and a supportive environment focused on patient comfort, clinical excellence, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school and NV nursing license.
• Minimum 1 year nursing experience; 3+ years preferred.
• Hospice or similar setting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of hospice philosophy and patient-centered care.
• Valid driver’s license with insured vehicle.
• Commitment to clinical and documentation excellence.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 home hospice care during after-hours.
• Assess and manage urgent symptoms quickly and compassionately.
• Administer medications or adjust care per orders.
• Communicate with physician regarding changes in condition.
• Support patient and family in understanding condition and next steps.
• Pronounce death if occurs during on-call hours and notify hospice team.
• Complete timely documentation and communication.

As a On-Call RN You will:

• ( CHOOSE ONE: If office HA S a Remote Triage team ) Collaborate with Remote Triage On Call Team to deliver hands-on care to hospice patients and offer supportive services to their families during after-hours, on an on-call basis
• ( CHOOSE ONE: If office DOES NOT have Remote Triage ) Deliver hands-on care to hospice patients and offer supportive services to their families during after-hours, on an on-call basis
• Assess and manage urgent symptoms quickly and compassionately
• Administer medication or adjust care based on hospice protocols or provider orders
• Communicate with the physician regarding changes in condition and obtain orders as necessary
• Offer guidance and support to the patient and family in understanding the current condition and anticipating the next steps
• If a death occurs during on-call hours, the RN will go to the home or facility to pronounce death, provide support to the family, contact the funeral home, and notify the hospice team
• Complete timely documentation and communication

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school with current licensure to practice in state of operation
• One year nursing experience required , 3+ years preferred
• Experience in hospice or a similar setting preferred
• Knowledge of the hospice philosophy of care
• Commitment to clinical and documentation excellence
• Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state/or organization requirements and is in good working order
