Job summary

AMEDISYS HOME HEALTH is seeking a registered nurse for PRN Days to provide compassionate at-home care. This role coordinates all aspects of home health services, collaborates with care teams, educates families, performs thorough assessments, manages meds and procedures, and supervises LPNs and HHAs.

Includes documentation and progress reporting, with eligibility based on state licensure and CPR. Earn flexible, per-diem hours with competitive pay and benefits that support ongoing professional

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of clinical RN experience.
• Current RN license for the assigned state(s).
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee all aspects of patients' home care.
• Collaborate with patient care teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate families on patient condition, needs and care.
• Perform head-to-toe physical assessments.
• Check vital signs and manage medications.
• Administer injections, IV therapy or tube feedings.
• Administer and maintain catheters.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately.
• Supervise LPNs and HHAs.
• Communicate patient progress to the clinical manager and care team.

Qualifications

• One year of clinical experience as a registered nurse (RN). If less than 1 year clinical experience as a RN, candidate must be approved by VP clinical.*
• Current RN license, specific to the state(s) you are assigned to work.
• Minimum six months home health experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and liability insurance.
• Able to assess patient status and identify requirements relative to age specific needs.
• Must be familiar with general use and functions of the computer, such as, user names and password concepts; internet; e-mail; navigation of computer desktop, including starting programs, using files and windows, effectively use navigation buttons and tool bars; ability to self-manage online HR services and online training programs.
• Note - If less than 6 months clinical experience as a RN, candidate must participate in RN Intern program.
