UAB Medicine is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Behavioral Health - Geri Pysch unit. Work involves direct patient care, assessments, and collaboration with the treatment team to develop and revise care plans for adult and geriatric patients with acute and chronic mental health needs.

Qualifikationen

• BLS Provider within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date.

  • Full-Time WIN Days, 3 12-Hour Shifts, Friday, Saturday, - Sunday OR Friday, Saturday, - any other weekday, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm
  • PRN, 12-Hour Shifts, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm and/or 7:00 pm - 7:00 am
• Work Location: UAB St. Vincent's East

Our Behavioral Health services at UAB St. Vincent's East include 80 beds for adult and geriatric patients with acute and chronic mental health needs. Our dedicated team-based care model provides individualized, compassionate care. We provide a safe and structured environment focused on stabilization, recovery, and long-term wellness.

Job Description

Provide direct patient care to behavioral health patients in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the facility.

• Perform initial and on-going bio-psychosocial assessments according to accepted standards of nursing practice. Develop a nursing plan of care consistent with the master treatment plan.
• Participate in treatment team conferences to assist in planning and revising goals, objectives and interventions appropriate to the age-related and problem-specific needs of each patient.
• Implement nursing plan of care for assigned patients and conducts and/or co-leads group therapy sessions for patients.
• Evaluate patient's response to interventions and revise nursing plan of care as needed. Collaborate with the treatment team to revise goals, objectives and interventions appropriate to the changes in patient status.

Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration:
