Baptist Health Walker Hospital is seeking a Float Pool RN for a full-time daytime role, working three 12-hour shifts. The position requires advanced nursing care for critically ill patients, strong clinical judgment, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

The role emphasizes patient advocacy, meticulous documentation, and adherence to regulatory standards in an acute care setting. Two years of acute care experience and Alabama RN licensure are preferred.

Formación

• RN license in Alabama (or valid eNLC multistate license).
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• 1 year of RN experience in acute care; 2 years preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provides advanced nursing care for critically ill patients requiring complex assessments, high-intensity interventions, and continuous monitoring.
• Uses clinical judgment to anticipate, prioritize, and respond quickly to changing patient conditions.
• Operates, monitors, and interprets data from monitoring systems and specialized medical equipment.
• Responds to emergencies using established nursing standards, protocols, and life-saving interventions.
• Assesses patient needs, develops and revises individualized care plans, and evaluates patient outcomes.
• Advocates for patients and families while ensuring age-appropriate care across the lifespan.
• Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams and may serve as charge nurse, preceptor, or educator.
• Documents care accurately, delegates tasks appropriately, and ensures compliance with evidence-based practice and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

Education/Training

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing. Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Baptist Health unit/department.

Licensure/Certification

• Maintains current State of Alabama RN license or valid eNLC multistate RN license

• Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.

Experience

• Required: At least 1 year of RN experience in an acute care setting
• Preferred: At least 2 years of RN experience in an acute care setting
