Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Grand Blanc, MI is seeking a part-time RN with Electrophysiology experience to join the EP Float pool. You will provide nursing care across the EP specialty, support multidisciplinary teams, and ensure high-quality patient outcomes at the Henry Ford Health Genesys location.

The role requires Michigan RN licensure, BLS, and EP experience with mapping systems. This position offers a sign-on bonus and shift premiums as part of the overall compensation package.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN credential from the Michigan Board of Nursing required within 2 months (60 days) of hire or transfer date.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required within 3 months (90 days) of hire or transfer date.
• Graduate of an approved professional RN nursing program.
• EP experience working with cardiac measurements and using the stimulator.
• Experience with EP mapping systems.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care per standards and patient goals.
• Develop and coordinate multidisciplinary plans of care.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, discharge instructions, and self-care needs.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other interventions.
• Monitor vital signs, labs, pain, intake/output, and glucose; respond to changes.
• Perform and assist with procedures including catheterization, wound care, IV therapy, and prep for procedures/surgery.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams for continuity of care and discharge planning.
• Respond to emergencies with appropriate intervention and protocols.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, education, and outcomes.
• Promote safety, infection prevention, confidentiality, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide leadership and support to team members in a collaborative environment.

GENERAL SUMMARY

• Assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with established standards, clinical practice guidelines, and patient care goals.
• Develop and coordinate multidisciplinary plans of care while promoting patient rights, dignity, culture, preferences, and expressed needs.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, safety measures, discharge instructions, and self-care needs.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other therapeutic interventions according to established policies and procedures.
• Monitor patient physiological status, including vital signs, lab results, pain levels, intake/output, and blood glucose, recognizing and responding appropriately to changes in condition.
• Perform and assist with nursing procedures including catheterization, wound care, specimen collection, IV therapy, and patient preparation for procedures and surgery.
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, hospital staff, patients, families, and community agencies to ensure continuity of care and effective discharge planning.
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations through timely intervention, use of emergency equipment, and adherence to established protocols.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, patient education, and outcomes.
• Promote patient safety, infection prevention, confidentiality, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide leadership, direction, and support to team members while fostering a respectful, collaborative work environment.

Education/Experience Requirements

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Certified BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Or Certified Instructor.
• Education: - Requires a graduate of an approved professional (RN) nursing program.
