Job summary

Fairview Health Services in Bloomington is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Bloomington Clinic on a casual basis. The RN will plan, organize, and provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting, following established standards.

You will educate patients, maintain timely documentation, and work with the care team to improve patient experiences and workflows. Preferred candidates have 1 year ambulatory healthcare experience and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Must hold RN license in the state of practice.
• 1 year healthcare experience in an ambulatory setting is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Association or Red Cross) certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and identify expected nursing outcomes.
• Implement nursing interventions based on plan of care.
• Evaluate care and patient responses to interventions and outcomes.
• Deliver care as delegated by physician or practitioner to assigned patients.
• Use effective communication to achieve desirable outcomes.
• Continuously improve work processes, environment, and patient experience.

Job Overview

We at Fairview Health Services are looking for a member of the Registered Nurse at Fairview Bloomington Clinic!

The position is for a casualrole.

The registered nurse is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and providing professional nursing care for patients in an ambulatory care setting. While following established standards and protocols, the registered nurse delivers care that is sensitive to the unique needs of the ages served by the clinic. The RN provides professional nursing care for clinic patients following established nursing standards and practices. As a member of the care team, the RN supports quality patient and family-centered care principles through performing a variety of high-level functions within a care team to support the needs of the healthcare team and patients/families. The nurse will educate patients and the public about various medical conditions, maintain complete, timely and accurate clinical documentation for each patient and continually look for opportunities to improve processes and workflow.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes.
• Implement nursing interventions based on plan of care.
• Evaluates care and the patient’s response to interventions and expected outcomes.
• Delivers care as delegated by physician/authorized practitioner to assigned patient population, or individual patient.

Required Qualifications

• RN license in the state of practice, some positions may require additional state RN licenses

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year previous healthcare experience in an ambulatory setting
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)
