Job summary

AdventHealth Tampa is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver comprehensive patient care in a busy hospital unit. You will assess patients, develop care plans, administer medications, educate families, and document outcomes.

Required: RN license, Associate Degree in Nursing; BLS/ACLS; English fluency. Bachelor’s degree preferred and acute care experience is valued. This full-time Day shift role includes benefits and a competitive pay range.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with an active license.
• Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's preferred.
• BLS & ACLS certifications required.
• 1+ year in acute care setting preferred.
• Fluent in English (read, write, speak).

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and update regularly.
• Administer medications and treatments safely per physician orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and self-care.
• Coordinate care with medical staff and other departments to ensure teamwork.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the patient chart.
• Evaluate and adjust care plans to improve outcomes.
