Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join our donor center team in California. The RN will perform physical examinations, review medical histories, and assess donor suitability while ensuring confidentiality and safety for donors and staff.

Role requires bilingual Spanish communication, ability to educate donors on general health, and to address any test results or adverse events promptly. Training and hepatitis vaccine program administration are included.

Requirements

• Educated and currently certified/licensed in California and according to state requirements as a Registered Nurse
• Current CPR certification required
• Bilingual in Spanish
• Ability to work standing and sitting for up to 2 to 4 hours per day each
• Ability to bend and twist the neck for 1 to 2 hours per day
• Frequent hand and finger movements with precise coordination
• Ability to squat, crouch, or sit on heels occasionally
• Ability to lift 15 lbs. routinely, with a maximum lift of 50 lbs.
• Hearing acuity essential
• Correctable near and far vision and color perception/discrimination
• Ability to communicate and understand spoken information
• Ability to work independently and follow oral or written instructions
• Ability to perform varied tasks under changing conditions
• Ability to relate sensitive information to diverse groups
• Ability to work in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids, infectious organisms, electrical equipment, and temperatures below 32°F
• Ability to use required personal protective equipment
